This is the main reason i could not renew my premium warthunder account, i had to use that for extra datapackets because guess what, i use the internet for other things than warthunder to.and most of it is data-intensive. Once i pass my monthly quota im kicked to back of the que and down to snail speed wich makes gaming impossible untill i restart my meter the next month or i pay insane amounts for added datapackets. honestly i would rather have the game crash from lack of data if i mistakely tried to load a naval or ground battle without having those resources downloaded.
I am on a 200GB/mo 5G connection and using 10% of that for a single update only to update maps and veichles i am never going to use while keeping me from flying for hours on end to do a IMHO wasted update realy doesnt sit well with me. Maybe even make maps optional even if it means you wont be matched for any battle in maps you havent chosen to download I miss the oportunity to de-select the modules i wont be using or shedule them for later download while only getting what i need to run the game for my chosen mode so either select or de-select naval and the helicopter, and the tank modules including maps that are only used for these modules, i am a virtual flyer period, i do not ever see a need for a tank or a ship or a helicopter, and would like to exclude these veichles and maps from my download package. Spesificaly the fact that not everyone wants or needs every category of the game yet have to download them all regardless, and some of us have relative slow and/or metered connections.
